The standard home inspection is the building block upon which all inspections are based. All standard home inspections are covered our Buy Back Guarantee. If we miss anything, we’ll buy your home back for what you paid!
Grand Home Inspection LLC uses the most advanced inspection tools, including infrared thermal scanning*, to make sure you are getting the best inspection possible. Infrared allows us to see issues that cannot be found with the naked eye, such as water leaks that have not yet caused visible damage, missing insulation, and poorly sealed doors/windows. Very few inspectors use thermal imaging because it requires extensive education and the equipment is more expensive than all other tools combined, but without thermal scanning an inspector is just blindly looking around!
Every standard home inspection includes a comprehensive report with detailed and easy to understand descriptions and photographs of all findings. Our goal is to educate you no matter where you are in the home ownership process, and our onsite overview allows you to ask questions about issues that affect buyers, sellers, home maintenance, or anything else you may need to know. You can expect your standard home inspection report to be delivered the same day and you can call, text, or email any questions to make sure you fully understand the inspected property and give you peace of mind.
*Infrared scanning is performed on a limited basis based on conditions available at the time of the inspection and is not a guarantee that all defects will be found. For example, if it has been dry and sunny for the last 100 days an infrared scan will not turn up roof leaks because there will not be latent moisture in the roof. For standard home inspections infrared is used as another tool in the box for conducting inspections according to the InterNACHI SOP, just like a moisture meter or electrical receptical tester. For more complete dedicated infrared scanning see our Infrared Thermal Imaging services.
