Mold can cause several health issues to occupants of contaminated homes. Mold inspections come in two varieties, limited and complete. Learn the difference between the two and what is best for you below.
Limited Mold Inspection
Limited mold inspections are the best option for adding onto a standard home inspection or testing one or more suspicious areas. During a limited mold inspection air or surface samples can be taken from specific areas for lab analysis. Whether there is apparent microbial growth, a musty odor, or you simply want to test indoor air before buying a home, lab sampling is the only way to know for sure if mold is present.
Complete Mold Inspection
Complete mold inspections are designed to be fully independent inspections. In addition to lab sampling, complete mold inspections incorporate a full visual inspection of the property and all attached structures to look for conditions conducive to mold growth. Up to three samples for lab analysis are included in the base level inspection. The inspector may recommend additional samples for an added fee if the visual inspection or occupant health problems suggest microbial activity.
